Glidden Red Delicious on half the living room/game area. Love red.

Glidden Cinnamon Stick in the kitchen. This pic does not do it justice. I'm absolutely in love with this color. I'm so happy with how it's coming out.

Glidden Smoky Mauve is currently on the opposing walls in the living room. This color came out in no way like the swatch. I should have bought a tester, dang it! It's actually like a lavendar color, though you can't tell it so much in this picture. We are going to be re-doing the living room and using this color in the guest room instead.

...the help....rawr. lol :)

Living room...front door is to the left. Hallway to 3 extra bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to left. Master suite on opposite side of the built in. (I'm thinking we will close-off the built in eventually.

I'm thinking of going for a ...."Coffee or Cafes Around the World" type theme. We'll see how it goes........

This room is the game room...man room style. It's part of the "great room," separated from the living area (ahem, TV) by just a couple columns. Adam's pretty stoked.

This is my first "inspiration board." I've been making myself crazy trying to decide what to do in the house and remember what I DO decide on....so here's my solution.
My first priority decoration-wise in the new house is the bedroom. We just caught an excellent deal at Haverty's for this new bedroom set...it includes a dresser, but I couldn't find a pic. I'm thinking gray-blue walls, with white trim. The bed set is almost black. I love reds, there will probably be red in some way in all the rooms! hehe

Adam and I just bought our first house. We close at the end of the month! We cannot wait, we are beyond excited!
We are blessed to have several amazing friends and families in our lives...we have been in many homes, seen many styles, heard many stories. A house is a house until you make it a home. It is filled with photos, things, heirlooms, traditions, and mostly memories. I think that is the thing that most excites me about moving. I can't wait to make my house into a home, with my husband; my family.

An update on my progress...I am now reading my 6th and 7th books of the year. I finished the Twilight series, and read The Other Boleyn Girl (eh, it was so-so, in my opinion.) Now, I am reading A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers. And...Midnight Sun (the partial draft of the next Twilight book....whatever, it's 250 pages so I'm counting it!)

Boy, am I glad I got up early beat the crazies the day Twilight came out. I mean look at the line...
hehe This pic was taken with my phone, do not judge me. Anyways, Adam and I went to a car show this past weekend, so I was up early and decided I needed to go get my Special Edition Blu-Ray version of Twilight from my local Target. I mean...before it sells out of course! There was practically no one there! I was laughing at myself going in to pick it up and a few less important items. I felt better once inside...everyone who WAS there DID have a copy in their hands...so there. hehe I did go see the movie in the theater and I am just as disappointed as most of the other fans of the books. However, I have faith that the next installments will be better and, therefore, I felt I NEEDED to have every movie even if this particular one was less than stellar. I made Adam watch it (you didn't hear that from me), he liked it (again...). I'm not gonna lie...he spent most of the movie googling pics of the chicks from the film. He now has a thing for Alice. lol Boys...

to reading 25 books in 2009. This may not sound like much, but considering I read maybe 2 last year...I feel it's a pretty substantial step. I'm pretty excited about it!

So far, I'm off to a decent start. I'm on #4. I have been reading the Twilight series. (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and am now on Breaking Dawn.) I have my next 4 lined up. I plan to read the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers (A Voice in the Wind, An Echo in the Darkness and As Sure as the Dawn) and then Three Weeks with my Brother by Nicholas Sparks. Any recommendations are welcome! :)

On an alternate note, but still the same level of commitment. I joined a gym and have been pretty faithful with working out. I don't really have any goals, I just want to tone up a bit. Fitting into some of my old clothes again wouldn't be a bad thing either, but we'll see how it goes...
